Last Call - Shower

Faithful readers will recall we've had trouble with a shower.  The master bath shower to be specific.  Not long after we moved to this house we had a waterfall in the study, it's really not as relaxing as other types of water features.  We fixed it and it held for a couple of years and then last year the shower gave us another waterfall in the study and the LOML said "ENOUGH" and we set about fixing the problem for good.  You've seen those posts so I won't go through the whole sordid tale again but wanted to update you as last week we had the last step of the project completed.  We've had a  nice ventilation hole in our study ever since that project started.  We had decided to give the new shower plenty of time to settle in and let us know if there were issues.  So far, so good, so vent no more!

Here are pictures of before, during and after....  hopefully never more!

Play Ball!!!!

The last two words of the national anthem.... at least for baseball fans - "Play Ball!!!!"  These are the words we in this house live for and they finally came back this weekend!  The Tigers opened their season with a tournament in Grapevine.  They played two games Friday night and came out on top of both games, great way to start the tournament.  We had Saturday off (mark those words, you won't hear them much from this house).  Then Sunday were "elimination" games with our first game at 6:00.  The Tigers came out swinging and eliminated their competition, the Dirtdogs, from that tournament.  Next up was the Championship Game against the Dallas Diablos.

Unfortunately the Diablos got the better end of that match up and the Tigers had to settle for 2nd place. They played hard and never gave up it just wasn't their day.  So, a 2nd Place trophy for the 1st Tourney of the season.  Definitely not a bad way to start things off.  Can't wait for the next one, you never know what will happen.

Go Tigers!!

The Land Yacht

For those of you who haven't heard we've upgraded the family fleet.   The Tigers have several road trips planned this summer and next and we decided it was time to let the hybrid go and get something a little more road-worthy.  So, say goodbye to the highlander, she was a good car for us:

Another one last look:

And now to unveil the newest addition to the family fleet (imagine drum roll).....

Yep, looks like we just gave the old car Miracle Gro.... what can I say, when you like something you just like it.

Here's another look at the yacht - watch out for her at your local ballpark!

Yes, boy cheese, she still has the PG on the back!!!  So you can find us in the sea of other land yachts at the ballpark.

Donations to the gas fund can be made any time!!
